Nubian Dairy Goats in Michigan since 2005

Welcome..............

We are located 40 miles North West of Detroit, Michigan, on a ten acre farm with lots of pine trees.

Most of our Nubians came from the Saada herd in Wyoming. we mixed in some animals from Longman's and Lynnhaven.
Our goal is to breed for tall, long-bodied animals with elegance, strong mammary systems and gentle disposition. We strive for long level lactations, and the ability to have extended lactations if this is disired. We hope to participate in DHIR in 2009.
Our first LA was in 2006, and are planning to continue every year, or at least every other year, because we believe that this is the best way to evaluate our breeding program.
Records will be posted at each doe's page.
The herd is tested regularly for CAE through WADDL. Test results can be viewed upon request. We follow strict CAE prevention which means that all kiddings are attended. Kids are immediately removed, and raised with heat treated colostrum and pasteurized milk. We also do coccidia prevention, de-wormings and vaccinations. Our kids are getting milk until they are five to six months old to provide them with the best calcium and protein available.
Since our herd is abcsess free, we only test occasionally for cl, and we have had only negative results.

Farm visits are always welcome, but please make an appointment first.

The Light of Integrity

"The soul is dyed the color of it's thought.  Think only on those things that are in line with your principles and can bear the full light of day.  The content of your character is your choice.  Day by day, what you choose, what you think, and what you do is who you become, your integrity is your destiny...it is the light that guides your way."
